Kathmandu – Nepal-based tech startup Tokma Technologies has officially launched its all-in-one Tokma Super App and GCard, a smart NFC-powered digital business card. The unveiling took place at a special event hosted at Yak & Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu, with former NEA Managing Director Kulman Ghising inaugurating the launch.

Designed to revolutionize daily digital use, Tokma App integrates services like ride-sharing, tour guide assistance, security services, caregiving, and shopping into a single platform. Meanwhile, GCard eliminates the need for physical business cards, allowing users to share personal and professional details simply by tapping on NFC-supported smartphones.

Speaking at the event, Ghising highlighted the role of such innovation in building Nepal’s digital economy. “Products like Tokma and GCard won’t just enhance efficiency—they’ll create jobs and promote local tech development. I encourage everyone to try them,” he said.

Tokma co-founder Sanchaman Rai mentioned that the product is the result of three years of dedicated research, with plans to continuously improve based on user feedback. CEO Sagar Angdembe emphasized that Tokma is more than just technology—“It’s a vehicle for national transformation.”

Urban Transport Authority CEO Kuber Nepali noted that Tokma will play a key role in easing public transport through essential ride-sharing features. CAN Federation’s Vice President also stressed that innovation is no longer optional—“Startups today represent hope, opportunity, and the future of Digital Nepal.”

Adding star power to the event, brand ambassador Wilson Bikram Rai encouraged everyone to support and use Nepali-made tech products.

The eco-friendly GCard not only modernizes the way people share contact details but also allows users to update their information anytime, helping reduce paper waste.
