Kathmandu – The government has announced plans to provide startup loans to at least 500 entrepreneurs within this fiscal year. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli shared this update during a parliamentary session on Thursday while responding to lawmakers’ queries.

“The focus is not just on employment but also on fostering entrepreneurship among youth. We are guiding and supporting them in becoming self-reliant. The government is facilitating financial and technical assistance, including low-interest loans to help them start their businesses,” said PM Oli.

He also highlighted the completion of the National Labor and Employment Conference, which aimed at generating domestic employment and boosting local production. The government is prioritizing startup businesses and encouraging innovation to strengthen the economy.

Addressing concerns over increasing youth migration, PM Oli urged people not to view it negatively. He acknowledged that seeking jobs, business opportunities, or education abroad is a global trend but emphasized the need to create more job opportunities within the country.
