Design
The design of the Ultima Fusion 360 immediately brings the Moondrop Space Travel to mind, with a translucent charging case and a sturdy metal alloy base. While the case has some weight, the earbuds themselves remain lightweight. Ultima also provides a protective pouch to keep the case scratch-free. The IPX5 rating means these earbuds are resistant to light rain and sweat, making them suitable for workouts or everyday use. Currently, the Fusion 360 is available only in Carbon Black, which gives it a sleek, modern look.
Audio
Moving on to audio performance, the Fusion 360 features a 13mm Hi-Fidelity driver. The bass is strong—perhaps too strong for some—making it a great option for bass enthusiasts. However, the trade-off is that the vocals tend to get somewhat muffled. While not a dealbreaker, the overall clarity could definitely be improved. At this price point, though, it’s hard to complain too much. The Soundcore K20i in this range does offer better audio quality, but it’s a semi-in-ear design that doesn’t fit all ear types, whereas the Fusion 360 provides a more secure in-ear fit.
The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is decent, providing up to 32 dB of noise reduction, which is enough to block out moderate external noises. However, the transparency mode isn’t great—it amplifies outdoor sounds in a way that can be quite jarring. I prefer using the normal mode most of the time. One downside is the lack of an app for customization, which could have allowed for tweaking the sound profile, something I miss from other models in this price range.
Latency and Gaming Performance
The Fusion 360 boasts a 45ms low latency, which performs adequately during casual gaming sessions like PUBG TDM. While it’s playable, there is a slight delay that can be noticeable, especially in fast-paced games. If you’re into competitive gaming, wired earphones are still the better choice.
Battery Life
Battery life is one of the standout features of the Fusion 360, offering up to 40 hours of playback at 60% volume with the charging case. On a single charge, you can expect around 5 to 6 hours of use, which is standard for earbuds in this price range.
