Honor has carved a strong reputation in the foldable smartphone market with its Magic V series. After the success of the Magic V1, V2, and V3, the company is preparing to launch the highly anticipated Magic V4. Here’s what we know so far about this upcoming foldable powerhouse.

Honor Magic V4 Rumored Features

Honor’s previous flagship, the Magic V3, held the title of the thinnest book-style foldable phone until Oppo’s Find N5 claimed the crown last month. However, Honor is poised to reclaim its position with the Magic V4, which is rumored to launch in June 2025.

Sleek Design and Advanced Display

The Magic V4 is expected to be ultra-thin, possibly measuring under 9mm when folded, making it one of the slimmest foldable devices available. The inner display is rumored to be an 8-inch LTPO screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a stunning 2K resolution. The cover screen is expected to have the same specifications, measuring 6.45 inches. Additionally, the device will feature an IPX8 waterproof rating and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security.

Powerful Performance and Extended Battery Life

The Honor Magic V4 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset, utilizing the full-core version rather than the seven-core variant found in the Oppo Find N5. In terms of battery, Honor is rumored to equip the Magic V4 with a massive 6,000mAh battery, setting a new benchmark for foldable smartphones. Battery life has traditionally been a weak point for foldables, so this upgrade could be a game-changer.

Revolutionary Camera System

The camera system of the Magic V4 is expected to receive a significant upgrade. The device is rumored to feature a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor. However, the standout feature is the 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 1/1.4-inch sensor—a substantial leap from the 50MP zoom lens found on the Magic V3. While details on additional sensors remain scarce, these upgrades hint at a powerful photography experience.

Additional Features and Innovations

The Magic V4 is also expected to support wireless charging and satellite communication, further enhancing its usability and connectivity.

Expected Launch and Availability

While Honor has yet to officially confirm the Magic V4’s release date, industry speculation suggests a third-quarter 2025 launch, likely in July—the same timeframe as the Magic V3’s debut in 2024. If the rumors hold true, the Honor Magic V4 could be a major contender in the foldable smartphone market.
