March 23, 2025 – New Zealand’s fast bowlers completely dominated Pakistan, securing a massive 115-run victory in the 4th T20I to win the series 3-1 with one match to spare.
New Zealand Posts a Strong Total
Batting first, New Zealand scored 220/6 in their 20 overs. Finn Allen was the star of the innings, smashing a quick 50 off 20 balls. Tim Seifert (44 off 22 balls) gave a flying start, while Michael Bracewell (46 off 26 balls)* provided the finishing touch.
New Zealand started aggressively, reaching 79/1 in the powerplay. Although Pakistan managed to slow them down in the middle overs, Bracewell’s late hitting helped them cross 200 runs for the second time in the series.
Among Pakistan’s bowlers, Haris Rauf (3-27) was the only one to keep his economy below ten runs per over.
Duffy, Foulkes Lead New Zealand’s Bowling Attack
Pakistan struggled from the start while chasing 221 runs. Will O’Rourke struck early, bowling out Mohammad Haris with a sharp delivery. After that, Jacob Duffy (4-20) and Zakary Foulkes (3-25) ripped through Pakistan’s batting lineup.
Pakistan collapsed to 105 all out in 16.2 overs, losing eight wickets for just 56 runs. The only resistance came from Abdul Samad (44 off 30 balls), but he had no support from the other end.
Duffy’s outstanding performance made him the highest wicket-taker of the series with 11 wickets in four matches.
