Kathmandu – The number of fixed broadband internet users in Nepal has reached Three Million sixty one lakhs nine hundred and eighty-three (3,061,983), according to the latest report by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA). The data, updated till Magh 2081 (January 2025), shows a growth of 77,422 new users in just one month.
In Poush 2081 (December 2024), the total number of users stood at 2,984,561, meaning internet service providers (ISPs) successfully added a significant number of new subscribers within a short period.
Which ISP Gained the Most Users?
Among all ISPs, Vianet saw the highest increase in new subscribers, adding 24,211 users in a month. Other ISPs also experienced notable growth:
- WiFi Nepal – 20,806 new users
- WorldLink – 8,000 new users
- DishHome – 7,000 new users
- Nepal Telecom – 1,663 new users
- Subisu – 2,500 new users
- Websurfer – 1,973 new users
- Classic Tech – 22,085 new users
- Techminds – 3,819 new users
However, CG Internet lost 764 users, making it the only ISP to see a decline.

- Websurfer – 186,916 users (No.6)
- Classic Tech – 176,819 users (No.7)
- Techminds – 82,960 users (No.8)
- CG Internet – 76,114 users (No.9)
- WiFi Nepal – 62,271 users (No.10)
With the rapid expansion of broadband services, competition among ISPs in Nepal continues to grow, providing users with more options for high-speed internet.
