Kathmandu-Mahalaxmi Development Bank has launched a new interbank “Scan to Cash” service in collaboration with PhonePe, making it the first development bank in Nepal to offer such a feature.
This service allows customers to withdraw cash by scanning a QR code at teller counters using any bank’s mobile banking app. Initially, the service is available at the bank’s Darbar Marg and Thapathali branches, with plans to expand nationwide in the near future.
With the introduction of this service, the bank aims to reduce the dependency on traditional methods like checks or ATM cards for cash withdrawals, providing more convenience to its customers.
