APF Mahindra Sports Award 2081 Honors Outstanding Athletes and Coaches

Kathmandu — The first edition of the APF Mahindra Sports Award 2081 has concluded successfully in Kathmandu under the joint initiative of Nepal APF Club and Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd.

Held at the Krishna Mohan Memorial Hall, the event honored athletes and sports personalities for their outstanding contributions to the nation and their respective sports.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, APF Inspector General Raju Aryal, Nepal Police IG Deepak Thapa, and top officials from Agni Group and Mahindra were present at the event.

Speaking at the event, Agni Group Executive Director Arjun Prasad Sharma stated that the award aims to recognize and honor excellence in sports, adding that it will continue annually.

Award Highlights:

  • APF Mahindra Player of the Year 2081 – Female: Renuka Nagarkoti (Football) – Rs. 50,000

  • APF Mahindra Player of the Year 2081 – Male: Prince Dahal (Badminton) – Rs. 50,000

  • Most Popular Player – Male: Mohammad Sekhu Alam (Karate) – Rs. 25,000

  • Most Popular Player – Female: Preeti Rai (Football) – Rs. 25,000

  • Team of the Year: APF Women’s Football Team – Rs. 50,000

  • Coach of the Year – Male: Jivesh Kumar Pandey (Football) – Rs. 25,000

  • Coach of the Year – Female: Ganga Devi Adhikari (Karate) – Rs. 25,000

  • Young Player of the Year – Male: Tenzing Sherpa (U-16 Football) – Rs. 25,000

  • Young Player of the Year – Female: Sabitri Kishan – Rs. 25,000

Additionally, former coaches and players of APF were honored with the APF IGP Commendation, and contributors to the event were recognized with appreciation tokens.

The award underscores APF Club’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting sports in Nepal. Agni Group, the authorized distributor of Mahindra in Nepal, has consistently supported Nepalese sports for over a decade through sponsorships and collaborations.
