Kathmandu — MB Dugad Group is making a comeback in the motorcycle market by bringing in the renowned Indian electric two-wheeler brand Revolt to Nepal. The company, which was previously associated with global brands like Nissan, Royal Enfield, and Vespa/Aprilia, will officially launch the Revolt brand at an event at its showroom in Naxal on Sunday.

After losing its dealerships for Royal Enfield and Vespa/Aprilia, MB Dugad Group had introduced JESIST, an Indonesian electric scooter brand. However, due to underperformance in the market, the company has been on the lookout for a new two-wheeler brand, and this led to the collaboration with Revolt.

Revolt is India’s leading electric motorcycle brand, and the group is set to bring five of its models to the Nepali market. These models include the RV1, RV1 Plus, RV Blaze X, RV 400 VRZ, and RV 400, all of which are expected to be launched in Nepal.

The motorcycles feature battery packs ranging from 2.2 kWh to 3.24 kWh, and motors with capacities ranging from 2.8 kW to 5 kW. The bikes are claimed to offer a range of up to 150 km on a single charge and can be fast-charged from 0 to 80% in just 80 minutes using a fast charger.

The company offers a 5-year warranty on the batteries (or 75,000 km) and a 2-year warranty on the charger.

The Revolt RV400 was the first electric bike produced in India and has been in production since 2019. When bookings opened for the RV400, the demand was so high that sales worth INR 50 crores were made within just two hours.

The RV400 comes with a 5 kW motor and a 3.24 kWh swappable battery pack. It offers three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and has a top speed of 85 km/h. On a full charge, it can travel up to 156 km. The battery takes 4 to 5 hours to fully charge.

The new variant, RV400 BRZ, is equipped with a 3.24 kWh battery pack and claims a range of 150 km on a single charge. It also offers three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Among the models, the RV1 is the most affordable, priced around INR 90,000 in India, while the RV400 is the most expensive, priced at INR 1,24,000.
